Public Holiday Planning

Communicating updated cut-off times for public holidays is crucial. This article outlines the communication that is required.

Being organised for public holidays is crucial for smooth operations. This consists of a few different items:

  1. Communicating early and effectively to customers regarding amended cut-off times. Jump there
  2. Planning with key customers (primarily Fresh to Go and hospital production kitchens) regarding their requirements over this period.
  3. Checking the impact on regional runs that are normally Monday, Wednesday and Friday (i.e. Geelong, Gippsland and Frankston)
  4. Coordinating the above with dispatch and production to ensure appropriate planning.

Customer Communication

Generally speaking, communication regarding altered cut-off times should be sent 4 weeks in advance.

If 2 holidays are less than 1 month apart, then it may be better to avoid confusion to send the communication for the 2nd holiday after the 1st holiday.

Easter and Christmas are crucial periods of the year. Communications should go out 6 weeks in advance.
